1. How do I register?
Before registering, please enter your home or school address into the League Finder tool on the Little League website.
- Inside Fossil Creek boundaries: Create an account and click the REGISTER icon.
- Outside Fossil Creek boundaries (League Age 8+): Please email us for options.
League Age Information: League age is determined using the Little League Age Chart/Calculator for the current year.
Fall Season Note: We use the following year’s Age Chart during Fall. Since this chart is typically not available until after our season begins, please add one year to the result provided by the calculator or the results on the chart.
2. What documents do I need to bring?
If your player is new to Fossil Creek Little League, you will need to upload a scanned copy of your players birth certificate, for age verification, during registration.
3. Are there any additional forms required?
Yes. Every season, a new or updated Medical Release Form is required. This form provides basic medical information for your player’s coach. It does not require a physician’s signature.
4. When are tryouts?
Little League does not hold formal tryouts. All players are placed on a team. However, we conduct a Player Skills Assessment, also known as “The Look,” to help coaches evaluate players for drafting purposes.
-
Divisions Participating: Coach Pitch 2, Minors, and Majors.
-
Dates & Times: Posted on our Events Calendar.
-
Juniors & Seniors: May also have a Look depending on roster needs. Information will be provided closer to the registration deadline.
5. When and where are practices and games?
Note: In recent seasons we have not been able to reschedule all rainouts due to field conditions, field closures, additional inclement weather and coach/player availability. To help this situation we will use Tuesdays and if needed Thursdays to play two games per field during the week for Coach Pitch 1 & 2, minors and majors. How often this occurs will be determined by our final registration numbers and how many teams we have in each division. Junior and senior divisions may also have two games in one night if needed.
6. Is there any travel involved?
-
Coach Pitch 2, Minor, Major: May involve occasional travel to nearby leagues (e.g., Sabine Jarvis Little League, ~6 miles away).
-
Junior & Senior Divisions: While most games are at Northwest Community Park, interleague games with neighboring leagues will occur.
7. How are postponed games rescheduled?
-
Rainout games appear in the schedule as “Postponed.”
-
We make every effort to reschedule, considering:
Note: It is important to know that field conditions for use are not determined by Fossil Creek Little League rather the City of Fort Worth’s Park Maintenance Department. Fossil Creek Little League does not have authority to prep or repair the fields after adverse weather conditions.
